Job Summary
Leading the intellectual property strategy in a full-time remote capacity, the California Licensed Intellectual Property Counsel will oversee a team of IP professionals, manage global IP portfolios, and provide strategic legal guidance to various stakeholders within the organization.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the global IP strategy, including patent and trademark management, aligned with business priorities
- Oversee the Product Counsel function, ensuring legal input is integrated throughout the product lifecycle
- Advise on legal issues related to AI and data-driven products, fostering responsible innovation
Required qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school with active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
- Minimum of 12+ years of relevant legal experience in intellectual property and product counseling within a technology company
- Demonstrated experience leading global IP strategy and managing patent and trademark portfolios
- Technical fluency in software, data analytics, AI, or related technology areas
- Strong understanding of IP law, including open-source compliance and IP risk management
