California Licensed Lead QA Engineer
Job Summary
Owning the quality engineering strategy for a portfolio of clinical software, the full-time California Licensed Lead QA Engineer will manage test architecture, automation standards, and CI/CD test orchestration while mentoring a team and ensuring compliance with regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end quality engineering strategy across the application portfolio, including test architecture and tooling selection
- Set and enforce automation framework architecture, acting as the final reviewer on test-framework pull requests
- Lead release readiness and go/no-go decisions, consolidating risk assessments and quality metrics for engineering and product leadership
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in software QA or test engineering, with 7+ years in test automation and 3+ years in a lead role
- Expert-level programming ability in Java and/or Python, with strong design instincts in test automation
- Deep hands-on experience with modern browser automation tools and API test automation
- Experience in CI/CD automation and pipeline design, including scheduled and triggered runs
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience
