California Licensed Leave Specialist

Job Summary

Supporting day-to-day HR operations, the remote California Licensed Leave Specialist will administer employee leaves of absence, ensure compliance with employment laws, and assist with benefits administration in a direct-hire capacity.

Key responsibilities

• Administer employee leaves of absence from intake through return-to-work, including FMLA, CFRA, and related programs
• Serve as a primary HR resource for coworkers and temporary employees, addressing inquiries and resolving issues
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws while supporting HR operations across the employee life cycle

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree
• 3-5+ years of HR experience in a benefits capacity
• Experience administering leaves of absence, including knowledge of relevant laws
• Proficient in HR technology, including UKG, and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
