Job Summary
To support database management for legacy systems, the hybrid Senior Mainframe DBA will manage various database types, oversee performance monitoring, and provide technical consulting while working primarily remotely with occasional onsite requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and upgrade database environments, including IMS, DB2, and ADABAS
- Provide technical consulting for application and operations teams during project planning and development
- Develop and implement backup, recovery procedures, and database performance monitoring
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in an IT-related or engineering field
- Minimum of seven years of experience as a Systems Programmer/DBA, with three years in a lead role
- Proficiency in IBM Z/OS, IMS, DB2, ADABAS, and related technologies
- Experience with database capacity planning and performance optimization
- Authorization to work in the US without sponsorship
