To support a high-impact legal team, the full-time California Licensed Managing Counsel will provide legal guidance on complex claims and coverage issues, focusing on high-exposure claims while working remotely.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide advice and counsel to the Claims Department on legal issues during claims handling, including coverage opinions and large losses
- Advise on complex claims with potential extracontractual or bad faith exposure to drive resolution
- Deliver training and education on emerging legal trends and risks to the Claims Organization
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctorate degree
- Licensed to practice law and in good standing within State of Practice
- 7 or more years of claims legal experience
- 3 or more years of coverage experience
