Job Summary
Supporting the initial phase of Medicare Annual Wellness Visits, the full-time California Licensed Medical Assistant will conduct telehealth visits, review preventive care needs, document findings in the electronic health record, and collaborate with healthcare teams to enhance patient outcomes.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct initial wellness visits via telehealth, documenting patient-reported medications and medical histories
- Collaborate with practitioners and clinic staff to improve quality outcomes and ensure regulatory compliance
- Manage patient outreach and scheduling for follow-up in-person visits with Nurse Practitioners
Required qualifications
- California Licensed Medical Assistant certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- High School Diploma or GED and graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program
- Minimum of 6 months of Medical Assistant experience
- Knowledge of Medicare Annual Wellness Visit workflows and EHR systems
