Job Summary

To support the Medicare Annual Wellness Visit process, the full-time California Licensed Medical Assistant will conduct initial patient visits via telehealth, review preventive care needs, document findings in the electronic health record, and collaborate with healthcare teams to enhance patient care and outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct initial wellness visits remotely, assessing patient-reported medications and medical histories
• Document findings in the electronic health record and prepare patients for in-person follow-up visits
• Collaborate with practitioners and clinic staff to improve quality outcomes and ensure regulatory compliance

Required qualifications

• Bilingual in Spanish
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
• High School Diploma or GED and graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program
• At least 6 months of experience as a Medical Assistant
• Knowledge of Medicare Annual Wellness Visit workflows and preventive care guidelines
