Job Summary
To ensure adherence to government laws and regulations, the fully remote California Licensed Medical Billing Compliance Manager will oversee the compliance program, lead compliance committee meetings, and investigate compliance-related issues while managing a payer appeals specialist.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee adherence to the compliance program and implement improvements to reduce risks of fraud and abuse
- Investigate and respond to compliance-related issues and conduct training on relevant regulations
- Coordinate internal compliance reviews and audits, providing reports and tracking error rates
Required qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in a related field preferred
- Extensive knowledge of ICD10-CM and CPT coding principles and federal regulations
- 4+ years of coding experience and 3+ years of auditing experience
- 1-2 years of supervisory experience
- Experience in medical billing and compliance in healthcare preferred
