California Licensed Medical Director
Job Summary
To support a growing primary care organization, the full-time California Licensed Medical Director will manage clinical governance, oversee nurse practitioners, and represent clinical interests in health plan and regulatory discussions while working remotely.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain care plan and encounter review standards for Enhanced Care Management
- Develop clinical protocols and escalation pathways for care teams based on patient acuity
- Supervise nurse practitioners providing clinical oversight across the Enhanced Care Management panel
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO with an active California medical license
- Board certification in family medicine, internal medicine, or a related specialty
- Experience in a medical director or comparable clinical leadership role
- Experience with Medicaid populations and complex, high-need patients
- Experience supervising advanced practice clinicians
