Job Summary
To support the Medi-Cal MMIS account for the Department of Health Care Services, the part-time California Licensed Medical Supply Specialist will be responsible for responding to referrals within 4 hours, reviewing policies, and processing claims requiring medical review expertise, primarily working remotely with occasional onsite meetings.
Key responsibilities
- Responding to referrals from DHCS within 4 hours of notification
- Reviewing policy and attending meetings with DHCS
- Processing claims requiring medical review expertise and responding to internal referrals
Required qualifications
- Active California RN license
- Experience with medical supplies
- Experience in the healthcare industry, including insurance and provider support
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage project timelines
