Job Summary
To support the growth of a Miscellaneous Professional Liability portfolio, the remote California Licensed MPL Underwriter will underwrite new and renewal business, manage broker relationships, and make informed risk selection and pricing decisions.
Key responsibilities
- Underwrite new and renewal MPL business, evaluating exposures and pricing risks in accordance with guidelines
- Build and maintain relationships with broker partners to drive submission flow and enhance market presence
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine underwriting strategies and improve operational efficiency
Required qualifications
- Experience underwriting Miscellaneous Professional Liability (MPL) or closely related specialty commercial insurance products
- Strong understanding of professional liability exposures, coverage forms, and risk selection
- Proven ability to develop and manage broker relationships and drive new business opportunities
- Analytical skills with a comfort in using technology and data for underwriting decisions
