California Licensed Nursing Instructor

Job Summary

To support a premier nursing program, the part-time California Licensed Nursing Instructor will plan, develop, and teach graduate MSN and FNP classes online, in clinical settings, and in campus skills labs while maintaining student records and participating in curriculum development.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and teach graduate-level nursing courses in various formats
• Maintain accurate student records and coordinate clinical instruction with faculty and clinical personnel
• Participate in curriculum development and accreditation activities to ensure program excellence

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree in nursing or higher from an accredited institution, including nursing education courses
• Current active California RN and FNP licenses, along with national FNP certification
• At least one year of teaching experience in FNP-related courses
• Minimum of two years of direct patient care experience as an FNP within the last three years
• Demonstrated commitment to mentoring diverse student populations, particularly minoritized groups
