California Licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant
Job Summary
To support a growing teletherapy practice, the part-time California Licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant will provide remote occupational therapy services, collaborate with licensed Occupational Therapists, and help clients achieve their therapy goals through virtual platforms.
Key responsibilities
- Provide remote occupational therapy interventions, exercises, and activities to improve clients' functional abilities
- Educate clients and caregivers on strategies to enhance independence and well-being
- Maintain accurate patient records and adhere to ethical and legal standards, including HIPAA compliance
Required qualifications
- Valid certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Active California State Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant License or ability to apply
- Experience in a clinic, private practice, hospital, or home health setting
- Technical proficiency for conducting teletherapy sessions
- Comfortable working with pediatric clients (18 months and older), preferably with experience in feeding, sensory, and neurodiverse clients
