Job Summary
To support a nationwide teletherapy initiative, the part-time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) will provide remote occupational therapy services, collaborate with licensed Occupational Therapists, and assist clients in achieving their therapy goals through virtual platforms.
Key responsibilities
- Provide remote occupational therapy interventions to help clients improve their functional abilities
- Educate clients and caregivers on strategies to enhance independence and well-being
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards
Required qualifications
- Valid certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Active California State Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant License or ability to apply
- Experience in clinical, private practice, hospital, or home health settings
- Technical proficiency for conducting teletherapy through digital platforms
- Comfortable working with pediatric clients (18 months and older) and experience with neurodiverse populations
