Job Summary
To enhance patient care and coordination, the part-time California Licensed Oncology Nurse Navigator will provide nurse-led navigation for thoracic oncology patients, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to optimize the patient journey from diagnosis to survivorship.
Key responsibilities
- Ensure clinical care meets guidelines and assess patient education needs regarding treatment options and clinical trials
- Facilitate communication among the cancer care team and address clinical and health system barriers impacting patient adherence to care pathways
- Support accreditation requirements and serve as a liaison to oncology associations and academies
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited college/university
- California Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of 5 years of registered nurse experience
- Minimum of 2-3 years of oncology nursing experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
