Job Summary
To strengthen community-based oral health practice and workforce capacity, the Community-based Oral Health Workforce Development Specialist will provide dental hygiene expertise, contribute to continuing education and practice-based training, and offer technical assistance in a remote position that may be full- or part-time.
Key responsibilities
- Provide dental hygiene expertise to community-based oral health initiatives and practice transformation activities
- Develop and review educational content for continuing education and professional learning activities
- Offer technical assistance to dental hygienists and community organizations in implementing oral health practices and workforce strategies
Required qualifications
- 8 years of experience in dental hygiene, community-based oral health, public health, or a related practice setting; a Master's degree may substitute for two years of experience
- Bachelor's degree or four additional years of relevant experience
- Current California Registered Dental Hygienist and Registered Dental Hygienist in Alternative Practice License
- Experience in education, workforce development, or technical assistance related to oral health
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while managing multiple projects
