California Licensed Pediatrician
Job Summary
To support a growing pediatric practice, the part-time California Licensed Pediatrician will perform online reviews of medical documentation, respond to medical claims and referrals from the Department of Health Care Services, and collaborate with the Medical Review team in a primarily remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Responding to referrals from DHCS within four hours of notification
- Reviewing policy and attending meetings with DHCS
- Processing suspended claims requiring pediatric expertise and cross-training to provide coverage for other consultants
Required qualifications
- Minimum of three years of clinical experience as a pediatrician
- Current California medical license
- Strong interpersonal and analytical skills
- Residence within 35 miles of the Sacramento State Capitol, California
- Comfortable using Word, Excel, and Outlook applications
