Job Summary
To support the Pharmacy Utilization Management team, the full-time California Licensed Pharmacy Technician will conduct technical and clinical reviews of medication-related authorization requests in a hybrid work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Perform technical and clinical reviews of utilization management authorization requests
- Collaborate with the Pharmacy Utilization Management Supervisor to ensure adherence to quality program goals
- Maintain accurate documentation and communication regarding authorization requests and decisions
Required qualifications
- One or more years of experience as a pharmacy technician in a pharmacy
- Active, unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license issued by the California State Board of Pharmacy
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology
- Experience in a pharmacy benefit management setting preferred
