California Licensed Pharmacy Technician

Job Summary

Providing professional telephone assistance in a remote environment, the full-time California Licensed Pharmacy Technician will manage incoming calls and process Prior Authorization requests while maintaining accurate documentation and ensuring compliance with established criteria.

Key responsibilities

• Handle incoming calls from members, providers, and other callers regarding Prior Authorization requests
• Review, process, and document Prior Authorization approvals and denials accurately and timely
• Transfer clinical questions to pharmacists for appropriate review and decision-making

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a high-volume customer service or call center environment
• Experience as a Pharmacy Technician in an administrative or support role preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Teams and Outlook, along with advanced computer skills
• Pharmacy Technician certification or Pharmacy Technician Trainee license preferred
