Job Summary
To support Medicaid rehabilitation and healthcare programs, a full-time remote California Licensed PM&R Physician will provide senior-level clinical expertise, evaluate complex cases, and ensure evidence-based rehabilitation services while collaborating with healthcare teams and leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a subject-matter expert in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and functional restoration
- Evaluate complex authorization requests and medical necessity cases involving rehabilitation services
- Conduct peer-to-peer consultations with treating providers regarding clinical indications and treatment strategies
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Current, active, unrestricted California Medical License
- Board Certification in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R)
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical practice experience in PM&R or related fields
- Prior experience with Medicaid programs and utilization management
