California Licensed Policy Analyst

Job Summary

Specializing in Mental Health Plan and Drug Medi-Cal policy analysis, the fully remote California Licensed Policy Analyst will manage the interpretation of regulatory guidance, develop policies and procedures, and deliver training while supporting member counties in operationalizing new policy requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor state and federal behavioral health policy developments and assess their implications for member counties
• Develop implementation guidance, tools, and training resources to assist counties in meeting regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with EHR and clinical staff to ensure compliance and effectiveness of EHR modules and workflows

Required qualifications

• Advanced degree in Public Health, Public Policy, Social Work, Healthcare Administration, or a related field
• Minimum of five years of experience in policy analysis or program evaluation
• Experience within a county behavioral health plan preferred
• Clinical license preferred (LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, etc.)
• Deep knowledge of behavioral health policies at state and federal levels
