Job Summary
Supporting the successful build and quality assurance of prior authorization programs, the remote California Licensed Principal Pharmacist will translate clinical policies and client requirements into actionable workflows while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance and operational readiness.
Key responsibilities
- Translate approved clinical criteria and client rules into build requirements for prior authorization workflows
- Participate in various testing phases to validate PA workflows against operational expectations and regulatory requirements
- Provide senior-level guidance and mentorship on clinical program operations and best practices
Required qualifications
- Active pharmacist license in good standing required
- PharmD preferred; Bachelor of Pharmacy degree accepted
- 7 or more years of experience in clinical pharmacy, managed care, or related fields preferred
- Hands-on experience with prior authorization builds and clinical criteria implementation strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of Medicaid pharmacy programs and regulatory expectations preferred
