California Licensed Product Compliance Manager
Job Summary
To support Square's compliance program, the full-time California Licensed Product Compliance Manager will drive compliance initiatives for Square's Core and Audiences product suites, collaborating with Product, Engineering, Design, and Legal teams to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and manage compliance risks.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as the embedded compliance advisor for product teams, providing proactive guidance on new products and features
- Lead product compliance reviews and maintain the compliance risk and control inventory for assigned product areas
- Support regulatory examinations and audits by coordinating responses and managing remediation efforts
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in the compliance industry, particularly in payments or commerce platform compliance
- Strong regulatory knowledge in areas such as AML/BSA, consumer protection, and privacy regulations
- Experience working as an embedded compliance partner in agile environments
- Proven ability to translate legal and regulatory requirements into actionable compliance controls
- Experience with core compliance program activities, including risk assessments and regulatory change management
