California Licensed Property Claims Examiner

Job Summary

To support a growing team, the full-time California Licensed Property Claims Examiner will process insurance claims for property losses, interact with independent adjusters and policyholders, and make payment recommendations while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate, evaluate, and resolve claims to promote fair and prompt settlements
• Adjust reserves and provide recommendations to ensure compliance with company policies
• Examine claims, negotiate settlements, and maintain communication with policyholders and legal counsel

Required qualifications

• Minimum bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred
• 2+ years of property claims experience, particularly with claims over $300,000
• Experience with MS-Office, especially Word and Excel
• Certified in CEA and Fair Claims Settlement Practices
• 5 years total claims experience, including 2 years handling HO claims over $300,000
