California Licensed Property Underwriter

Job Summary

To support growing underwriting operations, the full-time California Licensed Property Underwriter will evaluate new business and renewal submissions, assess property risks, and maintain strong relationships with appointed agents in a remote-first work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Review, evaluate, and underwrite new business and renewal submissions for residential property lines
• Serve as a primary underwriting resource for agents, providing timely communication and support
• Contribute to underwriting guidelines and process improvements based on market conditions and emerging risks

Required Qualifications

• 3-5 years of property underwriting or related personal lines insurance experience
• Strong understanding of underwriting principles and risk assessment
• Demonstrated ability to evaluate risks and apply underwriting guidelines effectively
• Experience using underwriting platforms and exposure assessment tools
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word
