California Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Job Summary

To support a growing practice, the part-time or full-time California Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will provide remote outpatient psychiatric care, managing lower to moderate acuity populations while enjoying clinical autonomy and minimal administrative burden.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, treatment planning, and medication management for outpatient clients
• Maintain control over scheduling, session structure, and patient population within established clinical standards
• Utilize electronic medical records for accurate documentation and collaborate with a team-based approach to care

Required qualifications

• Board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC)
• Active, unrestricted California license with autonomous practice authority
• 103 or 104 NP certification under AB 890
• Minimum of 3 years post-graduate clinical experience as a PMHNP
• Experience in delivering outpatient psychiatric care and comfort with telepsychiatry
