Job Summary
Seeking California Licensed Qualified Medical Evaluators (QMEs), the independent contractor opportunity allows physicians to conduct objective medical-legal evaluations for injured workers within the California Workers' Compensation system, offering a flexible schedule and administrative support while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct independent medical-legal evaluations and prepare comprehensive reports according to California DWC requirements
- Review medical records and analyze medical evidence to provide objective medical opinions
- Maintain professional standards and documentation while meeting report completion expectations
Required qualifications
- Active, unrestricted California physician license (MD or DO)
- Board certification or board eligibility in an eligible specialty
- Ability to obtain and maintain California QME certification
- Strong clinical knowledge within the specialty area
- Experience with California Workers' Compensation and medical-legal report preparation preferred
