Job Summary
Contributing to coding quality audits, the full-time remote California Licensed Quality Auditor will conduct audits, monitor compliance, and enhance coding integrity while ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and organizational goals.
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct special projects and audits to assess the accuracy and quality of coding and documentation
- Prepare detailed audit reports and provide education on compliance and coding standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement improvements in coding processes and workflows
Required qualifications:
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding, including chart auditing
- Associate's degree in Health Information Management, Health Care Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Registered Health Information Technician or equivalent certification required at hire
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in health care compliance, operations, or related fields preferred
- Experience in conducting coding reviews and audits
