Job Summary

To support accurate billing and collections for radiation oncology services, the part-time California Licensed Radiation Oncology Billing specialist will validate codes, manage claims, and ensure compliance with payer requirements while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Review and validate radiation oncology charges, documentation, and coding for compliance and accuracy
• Submit clean claims and resolve billing issues through timely follow-up and appeals
• Monitor accounts receivable and collaborate with clinical and revenue cycle teams to maximize collections

Required qualifications

• 3-5 years of recent experience in radiation oncology billing and collections
• Active ROCC (Radiation Oncology Certified Coder) certification
• Additional billing or coding credential such as CPC, CPB, CCS, CCS-P, or RHIT/RHIA
• Experience managing radiation oncology claims and accounts receivable
• Proficiency in reviewing ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes prior to claim submission
