California Licensed Research Counselor

Job Summary

Seeking a part-time California Licensed Research Counselor, the individual will provide counseling interventions to study participants in a fully remote setting, coordinating appointments, conducting sessions, and maintaining documentation while ensuring adherence to study protocols.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate appointments and conduct counseling intervention sessions for study participants
• Maintain accurate documentation and participate in supervision to ensure adherence to study protocols
• Provide support to participants experiencing a crisis as needed

Required qualifications

• 1-2 years of counseling experience with training in CBT, behavioral activation, and/or other evidence-based treatments
• Experience working with diverse groups, including people living with HIV and individuals from various backgrounds
• Master's Degree (MA/MS/MSW) in psychology, mental health, or related field preferred
• Familiarity with email and Microsoft applications
• Interest in health disparities, public health, HIV prevention and treatment, and sexual and reproductive health
