California Licensed Resource Triage Coordinator
Job Summary
To enhance the mission of organ donation, the California Licensed Resource Triage Coordinator will provide leadership and continuity of service to donor families and hospital partners in a remote, full-time capacity, focusing on triaging organ referrals, coordinating logistics, and collaborating with medical staff to ensure effective donor management.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and triage new organ referrals, assessing medical suitability and coordinating with hospital staff to maintain organ viability
- Provide timely support and communication to hospitals, donor families, and transplant personnel throughout the donation process
- Develop and implement response protocols for donor hospitals, participating in training and quality improvement initiatives
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in biologic sciences or an equivalent degree/diploma/certification in an allied health field
- CA registered nurse license or certification as a Physician Assistant preferred
- Minimum 2 years' experience in critical care units or in transplant and/or organ procurement
- Qualified to perform donor evaluations and donor management without supervision
- Valid CA driver's license and current vehicle insurance based on CA minimum coverage standards
