Job Summary

To enhance the mission of organ donation, the California Licensed Resource Triage Coordinator will provide leadership and continuity of service to donor families and hospital partners in a remote, full-time capacity, focusing on triaging organ referrals, coordinating logistics, and collaborating with medical staff to ensure effective donor management.

Key responsibilities
  • Manage and triage new organ referrals, assessing medical suitability and coordinating with hospital staff to maintain organ viability
  • Provide timely support and communication to hospitals, donor families, and transplant personnel throughout the donation process
  • Develop and implement response protocols for donor hospitals, participating in training and quality improvement initiatives
Required qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in biologic sciences or an equivalent degree/diploma/certification in an allied health field
  • CA registered nurse license or certification as a Physician Assistant preferred
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in critical care units or in transplant and/or organ procurement
  • Qualified to perform donor evaluations and donor management without supervision
  • Valid CA driver's license and current vehicle insurance based on CA minimum coverage standards
