Job Summary
To support strategic sourcing and procurement initiatives in the utilities sector, the full-time California Licensed Senior Category Manager will manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and develop sourcing strategies while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the development, issuance, and evaluation of RFXs and vendor management processes
- Negotiate major contracts and influence senior leadership on sourcing strategies
- Oversee supplier relationship management and scorecard processes to ensure performance standards are met
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a job-related discipline or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in sourcing, contracts, and negotiation
- Experience in project management and leading cross-functional teams
- Knowledge of database and information systems such as SAP and ERP
- Preferred certifications: CPSM or LSS certification
