Job Summary
Seeking a California Licensed Senior Counsel focused on Employment & Labor, this full-time remote position will advise on complex legal and compliance matters, including employment law, internal investigations, and nonprofit corporate issues.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted legal advisor to Tides staff, including executive leadership and senior staff
- Advise on nonprofit corporate matters, employment law issues, and conduct internal investigations
- Handle corporate litigation, disputes, and oversee contract negotiations and legal projects
Required qualifications
- Juris Doctor and active California law license or eligibility for registered in-house counsel admission
- 8-10 years of relevant legal experience as a practicing attorney
- Significant experience representing nonprofit and tax-exempt organizations
- Experience advising on employment and labor matters, including litigation and transactions
- Strong judgment in handling confidential information and providing strategic legal advice
