California Licensed Senior Counsel
Job Summary
Seeking a California Licensed Senior Counsel to work remotely in a full-time capacity, who will manage litigation cases from strategy through resolution, including discovery, depositions, and trial preparation, while collaborating with a dedicated local team in Sacramento.
Key responsibilities
- Independently handle court appearances, depositions, briefs, and trials
- Develop compelling case themes and maintain routine communications with clients
- Provide leadership and mentorship to less experienced attorneys while cultivating client relationships
Required qualifications
- JD from an ABA-approved school and active California Bar license
- 8+ years of solid litigation experience, particularly in insurance defense
- Proficiency in managing full case handling responsibilities, including discovery and trial
- Experience with time management systems and proficiency in MS Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
