Job Summary
As a key member of the team, the full-time California Licensed Senior Donation Coordinator will manage donor referrals, coordinate cases, and engage with grieving families in a remote environment, ensuring every opportunity for tissue donation is maximized.
Key responsibilities
- Receive and process inbound referral calls and emails, conducting preliminary medical screenings of potential donors
- Train and mentor Donation Coordinators on effective communication strategies and Donation Discussions, ensuring compliance with policies
- Serve as the primary liaison among various stakeholders to coordinate the donation process and provide support to grieving families
Required qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience with approaching grieving families and securing tissue authorizations
- Demonstrated excellence in all essential functions of the Donation Coordinator roles
- Advanced knowledge of disease processes and related conditions
- High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in biological sciences preferred
- Ability to effectively maneuver through multiple computer programs while maintaining focus and attention to detail
