Job Summary
Seeking a California Licensed Senior Electrical Engineer, this full-time hybrid position will evaluate potential project sites, provide regulatory policy guidance, and collaborate with utility engineers on interconnection facilities to support transmission scale and distributed energy resource projects across the U.S.
Key responsibilities
- Evaluate and provide feedback on utility impact studies, ensuring project design compliance and cost reasonability
- Assist project developers in site evaluations and interconnection cost estimates
- Manage the technical aspects of the interconnection process and provide training to the internal engineering team
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of relevant engineering and technical policy experience in renewable energy design and interconnection
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering; Master's degree preferred
- PE license preferred
- Strong understanding of technical standards related to DER interconnection
- Experience with power systems modeling software such as SKM, Aspen, or PSSe
