California Licensed Senior Tax Manager

Job Summary

To support a growing team, the full-time California Licensed Senior Tax Manager will manage client relationships, oversee tax return engagements, and lead staff development, with the flexibility of working remotely and occasional travel to the Santa Barbara office.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the local team while supporting the firm's Director
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and manage relationships with new clients
• Review and manage individual, business, and trust tax return engagements while leading consulting and advisory efforts

Required qualifications

• 7 - 12 years of experience in preparing and reviewing various tax returns
• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred
• CPA or EA certification required
• Direct experience in managing staff and client relationships
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on strategy and operations
