California Licensed Senior Tax Manager

Job Summary

Seeking a California Licensed Senior Tax Manager to work remotely, with occasional travel to the Santa Barbara office, who will manage client relationships, oversee team operations, and lead tax review and advisory services to drive growth and uphold the firm's standards of excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the local team while supporting the firm's Director
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and manage relationships with new clients
• Review and manage individual, business, and trust tax return engagements while leading consulting and advisory efforts

Required qualifications

• 7 - 12 years of experience in preparing and reviewing various tax returns
• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred
• CPA or EA certification required
• Direct experience managing staff and client relationships
• Proprietor mentality with an entrepreneurial mindset focused on strategy and operations
