California Licensed Staff Accountant
Job Summary
Seeking a full-time California Licensed Staff Accountant, the remote position will manage accounting functions related to federal grants, assist with financial reporting, and conduct compliance reviews for subrecipients across California.
Key responsibilities
- Provide subject matter expertise on federal compliance related to government grants, including 2 CFR 200 regulations
- Help prepare financial statements and quarterly government reports (SF-425)
- Complete fiscal desk reviews of subrecipients, ensuring compliance with financial controls and federal guidance
Required qualifications
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Relevant BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of two (2) years of related work experience in finance or accounting
- Ability to interpret and apply accounting theory to transactions
- Strong analytical skills
