California Licensed Staff AI Engineer

Job Summary

Experienced engineers will find a full-time salaried opportunity as a California Licensed Staff AI Engineer focused on designing, building, and delivering sophisticated LLM and agentic AI systems within security products, while mentoring team members and influencing technical direction.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and architecture of LLM and agentic AI systems, contributing to the technical roadmap
• Fine-tune and optimize open-source LLMs on security data, managing the entire process from data curation to deployment
• Mentor engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technical solutions with customer needs

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of software or ML engineering experience, including 2+ years in production LLM or agentic AI systems
• Master's degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, AI, or a related field preferred, or equivalent practical experience
• Deep understanding of LLMs, including transformer architecture and training methodologies
• Advanced skills in PyTorch and experience with fine-tuning open-weight LLMs
• Strong knowledge of inference optimization techniques and context engineering for AI systems
