California Licensed Systems Engineer

Job Summary

Leading the technical delivery of complex tolling systems, the full-time California Licensed Systems Engineer will manage system implementations from bid-phase support through to operational handoff, ensuring compliance with customer requirements and quality standards in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end tolling system delivery, ensuring efficient implementation and achievement of operational outcomes
• Serve as the primary technical point of contact, managing client relationships and technical discussions throughout the project lifecycle
• Own the requirements baseline and manage technical scope, ensuring clear traceability and addressing any gaps or risks

Required qualifications

• At least 3 years of direct experience delivering tolling systems in real-world environments
• 10+ years of professional experience with complex integrated systems, including hardware and software
• Strong requirements engineering experience, including elicitation, analysis, and change control
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field
• Ability to lead technical conversations and establish credibility with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
