Job Summary

Leading a dynamic team remotely, the full-time California Licensed Team Manager will oversee disability claims management, ensuring timely resolutions and compliance while empowering team members and enhancing their career development.

Key responsibilities

• Establish performance standards, conduct appraisals, and administer corrective actions in line with HR policies
• Review and assign claims, ensuring balanced workloads and timely closures while coaching staff on best practices
• Maintain communication with upper management regarding team activities and challenges, and organize workflows within the Risk Tech Claim System for maximum productivity

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
• Five or more years of progressive experience as a Claim Examiner with technical expertise in complex cases
• Previous supervisory experience is desirable
• Thorough knowledge of insurance coverages and practices
• Familiarity with legal, medical, and technical disciplines
