California Licensed Telecommunications Engineer
Job Summary
Seeking a California Licensed Telecommunications Systems Engineer, the remote contract position will lead the design of complex 3D BIM packages for advanced facilities, requiring a bachelor's degree and over 5 years of telecommunications design experience.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead telecom scope for large multi-building projects, producing comprehensive design packages
- Interface with clients to assess facility needs and deliver customized telecommunications solutions
- Create coordinated 3D BIM models and construction specifications using AutoCAD, SmartPlant, and Revit MEP
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred; two-year technical degree or four-year non-technical degree acceptable
- Minimum of 5 years of telecommunications design and construction experience
- Strong background in structured cabling and design team leadership
- Applied knowledge of TIA standards, BICSI practices, and NEC guidelines
- Proficiency in design software including Bluebeam and Navisworks; RCDD or PE preferred
