California Licensed Trauma Registrar
Job Summary
To support trauma program initiatives, the full-time California Licensed Trauma Registrar will manage the review and documentation of trauma patient data, perform ICD-10 coding, and identify performance improvement issues in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Review and document trauma patient demographic and clinical information in the Trauma Registry database
- Apply clinical theory to abstract and analyze trauma cases, developing educational courses for nursing staff
- Promote compliance with policies and act as a resource for nursing team members
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing or a related healthcare profession, or equivalent clinical education/experience
- Three years of relevant experience with Trauma Registries
- Completion of a Trauma Registry course
- Proficiency in ICD-10 coding
- Thorough knowledge of Trauma QI standards and clinical chart review processes
