To support underwriting initiatives, the full-time California Licensed Underwriter will evaluate data related to premium, claims, and exposure, while collaborating with internal teams and clients in a remote work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze standard and nonstandard data to assess risk and provide actionable insights
- Collaborate with internal departments to develop rates and account plans that mitigate risk
- Engage with external clients to explain underwriting approaches and address data needs
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or a minimum of three years of experience in Underwriting, Marketplace Evaluations, Financial Analysis, or a directly related field
- Comprehensive knowledge of the external business environment relevant to underwriting
- Experience with data analysis and financial risk management tools
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Familiarity with compliance and regulatory requirements in underwriting practices
