Job Summary
Supporting risk management and business strategy analysis, the full-time California Licensed Underwriter will evaluate data, assess account risks, and collaborate with internal teams to develop underwriting recommendations while working remotely.
Key responsibilities:
- Analyze standard and nonstandard data to understand premium, claim, and exposure risks
- Collaborate with internal departments to develop rates and account plans that mitigate risk
- Engage with external markets to communicate underwriting approaches and build customer relationships
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or a minimum of three years of experience in Underwriting or a related area
- Comprehensive knowledge of the external business environment related to underwriting
- Experience with data analysis and financial risk management tools
- Ability to present underwriting recommendations with limited guidance
- Familiarity with compliance policies and procedures relevant to underwriting work
