California Licensed Underwriter

Job Summary

Evaluating standard and nonstandard data, the full-time California Licensed Underwriter will assess risk, support business strategy analysis, and contribute to underwriting recommendations while working remotely.

Key responsibilities:

• Analyze data to understand premium, claim, and exposure, identifying actionable insights and researching solutions
• Process account activities and develop rates that mitigate risk while collaborating with internal departments and external partners
• Engage with customers to communicate underwriting approaches and build relationships to support strategic financial solutions

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or a minimum of three years of experience in Underwriting, Marketplace Evaluations, Financial Analysis, or a directly related field
• Comprehensive knowledge of the external business environment related to underwriting
• Experience with data analysis and modeling tools that support risk management
• Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
• Understanding of compliance with relevant policies and guidelines in underwriting practices
