California Licensed Underwriter

Job Summary

To support underwriting initiatives, the full-time California Licensed Underwriter will evaluate standard and nonstandard data, assess risk, and collaborate with internal teams while working remotely.

Key responsibilities:

• Analyze data to understand premium, claim, exposure, and population risk, providing actionable insights and solutions
• Process account activities and develop rates that mitigate risk while collaborating with Sales and Account Management
• Engage with external markets to communicate underwriting approaches and build relationships with customers and partners

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or a minimum of three years of experience in Underwriting, Marketplace Evaluations, or Financial Analysis
• Comprehensive knowledge of the external business environment related to underwriting
• Experience with data analytics tools and models for financial and underwriting risk management
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve business problems
• Familiarity with compliance policies and procedures relevant to underwriting work
