Job Summary
Evaluating data to assess risk and support business strategy, the full-time California Licensed Underwriter will analyze premium, claims, and exposure while collaborating with internal teams and interacting with clients in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Analyze standard and nonstandard data to identify actionable insights and inform risk management strategies
- Collaborate with internal departments to develop account plans and contribute to rate negotiations with external parties
- Engage with clients to present renewal recommendations and ensure understanding of underwriting approaches
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or a minimum of three years of experience in Underwriting, Financial Analysis, or a directly related field
- Comprehensive knowledge of the external business environment as it relates to underwriting
- Experience with data analysis tools and models for risk assessment
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Understanding of healthcare industry dynamics and underwriting methodologies
