California Licensed Underwriter
Job Summary
To support underwriting efforts, the full-time California Licensed Underwriter will evaluate standard and nonstandard data, assess risk, and collaborate with internal teams to develop strategies while working remotely.
Key responsibilities:
- Analyze data to evaluate premiums, claims, and exposure, identifying actionable insights and potential irregularities
- Collaborate with internal departments to develop rates and account plans that mitigate risk and support sustainable membership growth
- Engage with external clients to explain underwriting approaches and build relationships that facilitate strategic financial solutions
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or a minimum of three years of experience in Underwriting, Marketplace Evaluations, or Financial Analysis
- Comprehensive knowledge of the external business environment related to underwriting
- Experience with data analysis tools and methodologies
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams and departments
- Experience in developing and presenting underwriting recommendations to clients
